A daily listening practice from 365 Miracles of Change.
Today’s reflection explores how we often suffer not only from change itself, but from the demand that change explain itself immediately.
Practice for Today
Today, notice the labels your mind automatically places on the world.
You may see:
A stressful world.
A dangerous world.
A disappointing world.
A beautiful world.
An unfair world.
A successful world.
Gently say:
“I think I see a ______ world.”
Then end with:
“But I am upset because I see a meaningless world.”
Do not force agreement.
Just notice how quickly the mind wants reality to fit a conclusion.
